While the new Conservatory of Music will soon be able to offer conference facilities, the city is lagging behind others in being able to attract conferences to the region. While Torrevieja still has to come to terms that tourism euros shall not be flooding into local hotels, Benidorm continues to set the pace, lying second behind the more tropical Egyptian city of Sharm el Sheikh for YouTravel.com bookings for this winter season.
